'Thunder and Silk' is Phil Klab's debut album — a set of original compositions moving through neo-classical electronic, ambient techno, minimal house and saturated electro-funk. Pieces built to move bodies as much as minds, and designed to hold up under repeated listening.
Neo-classical piano floating over a pulsing kick. Dense textures over grooving basslines. A wide spectrum — contemplative at one end, physical and saturated at the other — with one constant thread: space as architecture, groove as language.
Outdoor performances in Montreal starting June 24 — Parc Lafontaine and Parc du Mont-Royal. Also a surprise performance at the Place des Arts metro station during the Montreal International Jazz Festival.
